After installing Yosemite patch for MATLAB, it is still unable to launch. Is there a way around this?

1 次查看(过去 30 天)
I have a Student Version of MATLAB installed on my 2011 MacBook Pro. After updating to Yosemite, MATLAB will not launch and displays a message saying, "To view this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment".
I have downloaded this JRE but it has had no effect - MATLAB still will not open.
I also tried to install the patch found on the following page, but it had had no effect: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1098655
Lastly I tried the steps provided on this page, again to no success: http://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1116607
Has anyone had similar issues or know a way to fix this? Thank you!

Yes. Simply call the Mathworks and they will get it working for you.

I have never had trouble getting them to answer the phone. Sorry, none of us here can help with installation, license, or crashing issues. Like the FAQ says there are just too many ways for things to not go right for us to know them all. Plus some of them involve things we can't even deal with, like license issues. The Mathworks has more power and can even set up a webex session to drive your computer, diagnose the issue and get it working. No one here is going to do that for you, but they will - they have to.
