Up until.. maybe three days ago I could use the cmd~ to switch between windows/figures/help function. This no longer works and I can't find the keyboard shortcut for it in the settings. Any ideas? I'm on a mac, sonoma 14.1.1, matlab 2023a.

This did in fact turn out to be a Sonoma OS issue, and while not exclusive to Matlab, only occurs in some applications. For me, it just so happened that it was ~just~ happening in Matlab. Regardless -- if folks encounter this issue, it can be bandaid-ed by toggling Stage Manager on. This seems to restore cmd ~ functionality.

I understand that you are facing an issue with the default keyboard shortcut “Cmd + ~” for switching between open windows in MATLAB If this shortcut has stopped working, there could be several reasons:

Keyboard shortcut might have been disabled or remapped in the macOS System Preferences. Check under System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts to see if the shortcut is still active.
MATLAB might have changed its keyboard shortcuts, or the preferences could have been reset. Check MATLAB's preferences for keyboard shortcuts to see if it is listed there and whether it can be reassigned.
Another application or system process might be intercepting the keyboard shortcut. Consider any software changes made recently that could affect this.
If macOS updated, the update could have affected how keyboard shortcuts are handled. Check online forums or support resources for macOS to see if other users are experiencing similar issues after updating.
