How can I use MATLAB to optimize and solve for multiple unknown variables?

I have about 15 equations written in the form of variables that are all related. I used Excel Solver and specified a few of the numerous variables and used the Solving method GRG Non-linear with 3 very simple constraints (e.g A+B-G = 0, etc) and was successful in getting optimized results.
My problem is I am taking this data and implementing it into a Simulink model of the system, and trying to use MATLAB to solve and optimize for all the unknowns but have no idea how to optimize for that many variables.
