how to save strings with id numbers in database file(.mat file),how to displaying that data from .mat file

This is a very general question. The implementation depends on the exact requirements. You can use different CELLs, or a single STRUCT containing strings and id numbers in different fields, or a vector of STRUCTs. The command save can be used for saving.
"Displaying the data from the .mat file" can mean nearly everything. Please specify the question.

Thanks, Royi. "infrastructure, proper math writing, better editor, etc."??? Sorry, I do not find any useful information, when I follow your link. This is a dummy page only with "example questions" and the meaning is obscured. My trials to find out, what you are suggesting here, have been a waste of time and and let me think, that I prefer to avoid stackexchange.
