How do I point Matlab to use the license file I've downloaded (instead of network license)?

In general we use network licenses at my company, but I have an account with a standalone license. I recently got a new laptop computer and want to configure the Matlab to be able to run while I'm not connected to the company network, using the my standalone license file. But using the company-installed Matlab (as I don't have admin privilege on my machine, I cannot install a newer version).

Hello Robert,
Here is a post that details how to point MATLAB to start up using a particular license file.
You could create a batch file (.bat extension) with the "-c" command listed in that post. That way you could use the normal MATLAB shortcut when you want to start with a network license, and use the batch file when you want to start with your local license.
I hope this helps!

But where do you write your individual license? Do you make a separate .lic file
