Why is matlab not working for me?

I've been trying to use matlab after i updated the software of my computer to windows 10 and it has been a failure. Anything I try to do, i get no response. I write in the command window and i get no response back. I try to set a path to add a new homework folder and matlab doesn't response. I really don't know what to do. I already uninstalled the software and re-installed it again and nothing has changed, I still haven't been able to use it.
