The file is a .mat file. It is part of the Statistics toolbox and is located at
fullfile(matlabroot, 'toolbox', 'stats', 'statsdemos', 'fisheriris.mat')

Format of this file is "mat".
In our PC, its location is
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2014a\toolbox\stats\statsdemos
Syntax of datasets ,
To load a data set into the MATLAB® workspace, type:
load filename
