Is there any encryption algorithm other than XOR , which works on bitwise??

I require an encryption algorithm for images such that it will operate bitwise on pixels. Xor is worked for it. Any other method available for substitute Xor???

XOR does not encrypt data, but it matters which cypher stream is ues for xor-ing.
Other methods are DES, 3DES, AES, BlowFish, TwoFish, IDEA, RSA, Serpent, RC6, ... I suggest to search in the internet. :-)
