I need help on plotting data on 3-dimensional plane. say x=6, y=2, z=5. How can I represent them accurately on a 3D plane and possibly 2D plane

  1. "x=6, y=2, z=5" is a point, not a plane.
  2. It is not clear, how you want to display a plane. Planes do not have edges, so if you draw a plane with infinite dimensions, the complete figure is filled and you cannot see anything meaningful - except for the case, when the view direction is perpendicular to the plane's normal, then you might see a line.
  3. You have the same effects for 3D and 2D planes. So please explain any details: How is the plane defined, and how do you want to display it?

Actually, i'm trying to plot data of electric filed of a dipole. the simplified (end) formula of the field is E=ax-ay+az. Somehow, i need to find how to represent ax, ay and az (corresponding to x, y,z) spatial distribution in 3D. I hope you understand this.
