Plot Animation in GUI

Hi, I try to animate a 3DPLot in GUI with a PushButton. The Animation itself works, but it won't stay in the axes-box and switches to a figure. How can I force it to stay in the axes-box?
function pushbutton8_Callback(hObject, eventdata, handles)
az = 45;
tmr = timer('ExecutionMode', 'FixedRate','Period', 0.03,'TasksToExecute', 360, 'TimerFcn', {@timerCallback});
start(tmr);
function timerCallback(hObj, eventdata)
az = az + 1;
view(az,22.5);
end
end

Maybe you mean:
function timerCallback(hObj, eventdata)
az = az + 1;
view(handles.axes1, az, 22.5);
end
if handles.axes1 is the the handle of the wanted axes object.
