How do you estimate coordinates of a plane intersecting a given depth from the surface?

How do I estimate coordinates of a plane intersecting a given depth from the surface given that I know the strike and dip of the plane and coordinates of the trace intersecting the surface? This is a problem that comes up in structural geology and if I can be pointed to the equations, that would be great! I would like to calculate coordinates in spherical coordinates. Thank you!
