How can I mosaic two Geotiff image (e.g. two tiles of a MODIS product)?

Hi, I have downloaded 18 years of MOD09A1 products and created multiple indices in geotiff format, but the study area is covered by the two tiles of MODIS and I don't know how to mosaic tiles for each day to a single new Geotiff, has anyone done this before?
