merge the nodes at the two contacting interfaces

Hi,
Two objects share nodes. How to merge these nodes at the contacting interaces between two objects. One object is the surface, the second one is the volume mesh. After merging its important to distunguish the difference between objects for the following definition of their properties.

Read about knnsearch. This will give the closest point indices and distances also. Put a criteria by diatnce to merge the nodes.
