Matlab does not start.

Hello, I have an issue with Matlab starting. It open a black window just for fraction of second and then it closed itself. I dont know about any cause, I just stopped work one day. I have Windows 7 and R2018b academic licence. Thank you for every advice.

Did it work before or did the problem occur directly after the installation? Did you try to recreate the preferences folder already? See https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/453269-create-a-backup-of-your-preferences-folder

Hello, I have the same problem. My Matlab does not start - I have Matlab 2018a, academic licencse and Windows 10. Matlab was wroking fine after instalation but one just I was not able to launch it.

Was MATLAB working fine for you before? If yes, this might be a cache or hidden data error.
We need to reset your MATLAB preferences by jumping to directory. Try %AppDAata% in windows search bar to go the directory (and hidden folder).

If MATLAB was working fine for you before then try clearing the cache data.
