Can MATLAB Compiler be used to create a portable application?

It is not possible to use MATLAB Compiler to make a portable application. Applications that have been compiled with MATLAB Compiler require the MATLAB Runtime and the requisite permissions to install it on the target machine.
To create portable applications, you can use our MATLAB Coder product. See the following product overview page for more information:
