How to get the monthly trading date starting from any day?

Hi all, I have a matrix of trading dates starting from November 6th, 2012, and I have to get a monthly trading date starting from November 6th, 2012.

So, I basically need a function that helps me to pick a trading date that is 6th (if the 6th is a non-trading datem then I want 5th or 4th).

Please explain to me what kind of function and how to use it.

Did you check the holiday function in Financial Toolbox? It returns holidays and special nontrading days for the New York Stock Exchange.
