There different types of defects going to occur in the fabric.i want to detect and classify those defects.... images are color only..and what is the basic type of alogorithm i have to use to find and classify those defects

There have been numerous papers on this. Check out Vision Bibliography to see most of them.

In addition, I know North Carolina State University has a textile group and I know of at least one Ph.D. dissertation who worked on that (I interviewed him for a job many years ago). They are most probably the most experienced lab in the USA on textiles. They have a whole college on textile science. Click here: Wilson College of Textiles

I cannot personally guide you in how to use MATLAB, how to develop an algorithm, start the program, or come to a solution. I suggest you start with The MATLAB Academy or take some training courses either online or in person.
