I read the location information history and earthquake magnitude of earthquakes from an excel file. You can see it in the photo I added. I want to take any one line from this map with a lot of data and show the latitude longitude here on the map. How can I do that?

The UITable has a callback for selection

https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/matlab.ui.control.tableappd-properties.html#bvboy7l-1-CellSelectionCallback

The event callback contains the indices of the selected cell, so you could use the row index to extract the relevant data from the actual data table (which you will have to make available within the app, as by creating a property to hold it).

You probably want to load the data from excel once with app start up, instead of on a button push...?

This is the code I tried. I thought I could get the index of the cell I chose, maybe I could save the data information with such an if function, but this code did not work because I did not fully control the subject. It does not even go into the if loop. I do not know how to record other latitude and longitude values and show them on the map. Maybe you can help over this thing I'm throwing. Thank you.

It looks like you are finding the selected cell index correctly. But it also looks like you are trying to save a running list of selected cells as you keep selecting them. Since the callback function doesn't share its workspace with your app, your app will not "know" about the variables "latitude" and "longitude".

It also looks like you don't know how to index arrays...your line

if i == row

makes no sense...what is i?

If you need to save them to the app's space, you can define app properties, e.g.

% properties defined in the app
classdef myapp
    properties
        LatitudeList
        LongitudeList
    end
    %...
end

and

function UITableCellSelection(app, event)
    app.selectedCell = event.Indices;
    row = event.Indices(1,1);
    col = event.Indices(1,2);
    
    % there should be no need to do this:
    %event.Source.Data = event.Source.Data{:,:}
    
    app.Latitude = event.Source.Data(row,6)
    app.Longitude = event.Source.Data(row,7)
    
end

Since newer versions of UITable seem to allow the "table" data type, you should be able to make the code even more readable by doing

app.Latitude = event.Source.Data.Latitude(row)
app.Longitude = event.Source.Data.Longitude(row)

if you run the app in the command line with an output

>> app = MyAppName()

then you can access any public properties you defined:

>> app.Latitude
