How to test the HDL coder generated code with Modelsim?

Hi, i just began to work with HDL coder in Simulink. I see that a special block(with the modelsim-symbol) is needed for co-simulation between Simulink and HDL in Modelsim. In my license there is only HDL coder.Do i need to have HDL Verifier for Co-simulation ?

If you use stand alone RTL test bench generation, you could use the generated behavioral RTL test bench for verifying your design. This does not require HDL Verifier license.

Cosimulation with ModelSim in the loop with Simulink or MATLAB requires HDL Verifier license.
