pointsToWorld distance measurement is very off.

I am using this as a reference. I take two pixel coordinates from undistorted image and apply them into pointsToWorld, then find the euclidean distance between the two real world points. Error is about 0.1mm when the distance is close to the lenght of chessboard pattern's one square's side lenght, but when the distance is increased error is 5 to 10 mm! Why is that?

Has anyone used pointsToWorld and got a good a measurement? If so can you send the calculations for it?
