i have a vessel image that i want to enhance before using frangie filter , any suggestions for better contrast enhancement.

i have a cardiac images that need to be enhanced before using frangi filter, i have tried contrast starching histogram equalization and adaptive histogram equalization and many other algorithm but still facing weak contrast,can i have suggestions about other algorithm that may be helpful.
