Can simulink can import large matrixes from matlab workspace?

Hello,
I don't think that simulink can import a large data matrix from matlab's workspace.
I have a 1 x 4e6 data matrix in my matlab workspace. I used the "from workspace" block to import into simulink. Doing this either crashes my computer, or I get a memory allocation error. Is there another way to get that data into simulink for processing?
