ISO 26262 checks.zip

For Release 2011a and newer, MathWorks offers ISO 26262 modeling standards checks with Simulink Verification and Validation.

For R2010b and earlier, you can obtain these checks as described below. To use these checks, you must have MATLAB, Simulink, and Simulink Verification and Validation products installed.

To install the ISO 26262 model checks, follow these steps:

For R2010a and older release of MATLAB, first apply a patch in this external bug report before following steps below.

1. Download the ZIP-file and extract the iso_26262_checks.mat file to a directory on your MATLAB path.

2. Start Simulink and open Model Advisor (Tools > Model Advisor)

3. Load Configuration from Model Advisor (Files > Load Configuration)

4. Select the iso_26262_checks.mat file saved in step 1

5. Note that the checks now appear under By Task

6. Close and restart the MATLAB session before using the ISO 26262 checks

Note:

1. You may get a warning message stating:

ERROR: Warning: Unable to find check depending on the products you have installed

These checks are not related to the ISO 26262 checks so the warnings message can effectively be ignored.

2. If you developed your own custom checks, you will need to merge these with the ISO 26262 checks as described in the “Customizing the Model Advisor” section of the Simulink Verification and Validation product documentation.
