Why do I face an error "Installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable has failed" installing Polyspace (R2012b)?

Trying to install Polyspace for C/C++ R2012b, I face a message at end of installation like the following:
%%%BEGIN SRC%%%
Installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable has failed.
Click cancel to close the installer
%%%END SRC%%%

MathWorks Support Team
Installation fails on redistributable while launching setup from UNC path containing a space.
There are two workarounds:
1. Do not use a UNC path with space characters if possible
2. Install manually the redistributable before Polyspace install.
