automaticly detecting multiple c3d files using dir function

Hi,
for a project at school we received 2 files with each 5 files each containing another 5 c3d files. using the dir function and a string ([path_to_folder'*.c3d']) we should be able to write a fucntion which automatically detects these c3d files. I already found how to read the c3d files but not how to use them multiple times with loops instead of repeatedly writing them.
Can anyone help?

It is not clear how "2 files" and "with each 5 files" and "each containing another 5 c3d files" match together. Do you mean folders ?

yes folders indeed. sry i'm still at the early stage of learning matlab. so 2 main folders( each with different experiments) containing 5 folders each (being the test subjects) with each of the 5 folders containing two to five c3d files
