Sorry, Shanmugasundaram M, I could not resist to give the obvious answer. Without any details, a more detailed answer is not possible. Of course any problem, which can be defined as a recursive program (does not mean "recursive functions") can be solved by Matlab. The question is how many work is required to use the existing toolboxes for your specific work. But without knowing any details, this question cannot be answered.
