RoboCup
The RoboCup Federation was founded with the goal of developing a team of fully autonomous humanoid robot soccer players that can comply with the official rules of FIFA and win a game against the winner of the most recent World Cup.
RoboCup leagues now include soccer, industrial, rescue, and home robots. Each league is designed to guide students toward solving difficult problems in the field of robotics. Participants range from primary school students to graduate and post-graduate researchers.
MathWorks supports this goal by providing tools for students competing in any of the RoboCup leagues. Students can take advantage of MATLAB, Simulink, Robotics System Toolbox, and other products to develop algorithms, test them in simulation, and deploy them to hardware.
